THE CHALLENGES FACING OUR SECTOR IN 2022 AND BEYOND
The ongoing effects of the pandemic, the impact of conflict and climate change, and the cost-of-living crisis have created a difficult environment for the charity and volunteering sector.
Drawing on our insight from the
Road Ahead and the
Civil Society Almanac, we will discuss the challenges and opportunities facing our sector – including upcoming changes to government policy.
By the end of the session you will:
- understand the external environment within which charities and volunteers are operating
- understand the policy changes that will impact your work
- have shared your experiences.
PARTNERSHIP and NETWORKING: WHAT WORKS?
For efficiency and sustainability reasons, partnerships and networking are becoming increasingly important in the voluntary sector.
Throughout the pandemic, PCVS has been developing their communications and networks to help launch new projects and revitalise existing ones. They'll share their experiences of working both within and outside the charity sector to deliver:
- a new social prescribing project, Health Xchange
- the Wonder Women (Thriving Communities) project
- voluntary sector forums
- a vaccine hesitancy project.
This discussion will explore how to build and maintain partnerships, and the challenges PCVS have faced during the pandemic.
By the end of the session you will:
- understand what works when setting up new partnerships
- understand how to maintain partnerships
- have shared your experiences.
WHO SHOULD JOIN?
- Staff and trustees from NCVO member organisations across the east Midlands
