EVENT DETAILS

Our Members’ Assemblies help us understand the challenges that voluntary organisations are facing, helping inform the work we do. Our assemblies are a great way for our members to network with each other, share ideas about current issues and talk directly to NCVO staff about how we can support them.

By attending our Members' Assembly, our members will have the opportunity to:

·    Hear the latest on public policy and other current issues facing the sector, and how NCVO is working on these.

·    Meet and network with other voluntary organisations in south London.

·    Share best practice, experiences and ideas.

THE ROAD AHEAD

The Road Ahead is NCVO’s annual analysis of the changing operating environment for anyone working in the voluntary sector. It identifies and explains forces and trends that are shaping the sector and are likely to have an impact on organisations in the future.

At our Members’ Assembly, we'll explore the findings of recently launched The Road Ahead 2022 report with voluntary organisations in south London, discussing:

  • The key drivers shaping the sector in 2022: the Political, economic, social, technological, environmental and legal issues
  • What the findings of the report mean for voluntary organisations in south London
  • What organisations in south London can do to prepare for the 12 months ahead.

You’ll have the opportunity to consider which of The Road Ahead 2022 issues are likely to have the biggest impact or influence upon the voluntary sector in south London.

Vision for Volunteering

The Vision for Volunteering is bringing together people and organisations across England to collaborate to develop a 10-year vision for volunteering. The aim is to create both a long-term vision and shorter-term objectives, which will change volunteering in our communities for good.

A nationwide consultation is currently underway, the first stage of which will be concluded in January. Members of the steering group will share initial findings from the consultation workshops on themes such as employment and skills, health and well-being and resilient communities. We will test and discuss these early themes and messages at the assembly.

During this session, participants will:

·       Hear the emerging consultation findings that will begin to shape the Vision for Volunteering
·       Offer insight and feedback to the Vision for Volunteering project leads, based on experiences of working with and engaging volunteers in south London.
·       Find out about future opportunities to shape the Vision before it’s formal launch in March 2022.
