In line with our strategy and ambition to put our members at the heart of our work, we're redesigning the way we influence government. We want to know how our influencing work can better involve NCVO members. We've long influenced government to ensure that charities and volunteers have the conditions they need to make a difference, and to strengthen civil society for the future. We influence on a range of topics from charity funding and regulation, to support for volunteering.

Date: | 11 November 2021
Time: | 12.00–13.00

This workshop will give you the chance to shape how NCVO:
  • decides on what issues to tackle
  • develops positions on issues or solutions to take to government
  • builds support for our ideas.

This is also a great opportunity for you to tell us about the issues you think we should work on.

This workshop is for any member of NCVO. There are three dates in November to choose from. The other two dates are:

You might be a volunteer manager, chief executive, trustee, campaigns manager or someone who is interested in working more closely with NCVO to influence government. If your organisation has someone that works on influencing local or central government then this workshop would be well suited for them. However, you don't need to have this experience to attend and we'd like to hear from organisations that don’t engage in any influencing work.
