Outcomes
By the end of the course, you will have:
- a clearer articulation of your organisation’s purpose
- an increased understanding of strategic and business planning processes
- identified tools which can improve strategic planning and decision-making in your organisation
- more awareness of how to keep your strategy on track
- considered how to get the process right for your organisation
Who should attend?
This participatory course will include presentations, peer learning and opportunities to experiment with environmental analysis and decision-making tools. It will support learners with identifying a suitable process for strategy development within their organisation and is aimed at decision-makers, such as senior leaders, CEOs, chairs and trustees. However, although this course is primarily designed for those involved with strategy and business planning, it is also suitable for those who want to learn more about the subject.
As a new employee to our organisation the training has given me the confidence to move forward with writing our plans and to move things on with the trustees at a pace that will ensure we have a finished 'product' within a reasonable time period. I will definitely incorporate the tools we used today. They were very helpful.
